If you’ve been keeping up with Willis Earl Beal then you know that he’s an artist and songwriter who has traveled plenty and more or less fell into making music by virtue of having so much to sing about. Working a shitty job essentially because it allowed him to continue to live in Chicago and have the experiences that fueled this lifestyle of wandering the streets and writing music. Beal has been picked up by XL records off shoot Hot Charity who will put out his first proper album called Acousmatic Sorcery on March 20th.
Essentially an animated version of his life wandering the streets, “Evening’s Kiss” is Beal’s first official video and lets you get to know the idiosyncratic songwriter a little more. Beal drew and directed the video himself. Watch below.
