Video: Arctic Monkeys – “Don’t Sit Down ‘Cause I’ve Moved Your Chair”

Considering how awkward they can be in interviews (though they have certainly become better as they’ve matured) it’s always amazing to see how Arctic Monkeys really go for it in their videos. Whether it’s simply Alex dancing goofily in front of a camera or the whole band playing in a flash studio with proper back up dancers, they’re always a treat.

The video for “Don’t Sit Down ‘Cause I’ve Moved Your Chair” depicts the band in full-on rock swagger mode, playing in a dark room with sunglasses on, roaming around deserts, sitting in the back seats of open-top cars as they drive around LA – and you have to say it suits them. All seen through a cloud of psychedelic blurs and bright colours, it feels like taking it all in during an acid trip.

“Don’t Sit Down” is the second single from the Arctics’ upcoming album Suck It And See and you can read our review of it here. Watch the video below.

Suck It And See is going to be released by Domino on June 7th (6th in Europe).
