MP3: Miracles Club – “Light of Love” (Cut Copy Re-Vision)

It’s not often that people point to the Pacific Northwest when they talk about disco revivalists, but Portland’s The Miracles Club are putting the rainy states on map with their mix of old school dance hooks and epic dance floor jams. Their newest release, the Light of Love Remixes – EP, features mixes of both “Light of Love” and the original single’s B-side “So Hot.” Released on Cut Copy-founded record label Cutters, Light of Love Remixes – EP features a re-imagining of “Light of Love” by none other than the Australian dance poppers themselves. It’s a pulsing and vibing remix that strikes a balance between being relaxing while also completely dance floor ready. The Miracles Club never disappoint, and this release is one of my favorite EPs of the year so far.
