Listen/Download: Snowmine – “Rome”

Dialects

It’s been a year since Snowmine finished their second album Dialects, but it’s only this week we’ll have heard anything from that record. The elapsed time since then and now has been spent by the band contemplating how to release the album. They’ve gone through numerous record labels and contemplated various release strategies (all of which they talk about in an honest letter to their fans), but have decided to stay on the track they’ve travelled for so long: Snowmine will release Dialects on 4th February next year, hand packing all the physical copies as they’ve previously done, and promoting it to the fans directly via Youtube, Facebook, and all those channels. The haunting artwork to the album sits above, and below you hear that aforementioned first taste of the album in the form of the song “Rome.” The track is notably perked up with a lush orchestral sweep as an irresistible bass line pushes it forwards and upwards, making it sound like they band are flying through clouds, if not breaking out above them into a new blissful space. Listen to and/or download “Rome” below.
