Well, at this rate there will be little to look forward to when Wavves releases his new EP, Life Sux, next week on September 20th. “Destroy” is out third advance taste of the EP, and our third success. This one features members of Fucked Up and they make their presence known, with Damian Abraham taking a verse and Wavves rediscovering his hardcore roots. So, maybe there will be something to look forward to when this gets a physical release, that being that you can finally possess these songs on your own shiny vinyl.

Plugging away since 1999, The National finally hit mainstream success with the release of their 2010 album High Violet. Of course, this entailed their first world tour, but in the new documentary Mistaken For Strangers, it’s only the backdrop for the relationship between lead singer Matt Berninger and his younger brother Tom, who had no idea that these short videos he was shooting would turn into a public document of their troubled, if still loving brotherhood.
