Hyperdub are in a real Christmas mood this year. After announcing that Burial will be releasing a new two-track single later in the month, labelmate Laurel Halo has also got a new single to share with the world. “Sunlight on the Faded” will drop on December 10th, complete with the original version of the song, as well as a dub version on the flip side. That’s the artwork above. “Sunlight on the faded” closes a year where Laurel halo brought us her well-received album Quarantine. Listen below.
Plugging away since 1999, The National finally hit mainstream success with the release of their 2010 album High Violet. Of course, this entailed their first world tour, but in the new documentary Mistaken For Strangers, it’s only the backdrop for the relationship between lead singer Matt Berninger and his younger brother Tom, who had no idea that these short videos he was shooting would turn into a public document of their troubled, if still loving brotherhood.
