Duo Heather Trost and Jeremy Barnes – more commonly known in the music world as A Hawk And A hacksaw – are back on the scene with a new release for the year. On March 25th/26th they’ll release a double album entitled You Have Already Gone To The Other World: Music Inspired By Paradjanov’s Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors via LM Duplication. As might be guessed by the title, it’s a release which is a soundtrack to the Paradjanov 1964 film, but the band confess that the music goes a little further, explaining that it accompanies, comments on, and sometimes overtakes the original soundtrack and dialogue.” The release isn’t spontaneous, though, as the band have been touring the music on it for some years.
