Oh No returns with ‘Ohnomite’, album composed entirely of ‘Dolemite’ samples

While rapper/producer Oh No has been popping up since the earliest days of the 2000’s, it’s relatively fair to say he found new fame through his collaberations with The Alchemist as Gangrene. Building upon that success, the MC is now preparing to once more rely upon his own strength with a new solo offering, titled Ohnomite.

It’s no small affair, either. Oh No was granted complete access to Rudy Ray Moore’s – aka Dolemite’s – audio archives. What resulted was the ideal meeting of funk, soul and hip hop. Not to mention that Oh No’s backed up by guests such as MF Doom, Phife Dawg, Erick Sermon, Rapper Pooh, Guilty Simpson, Roc Marciano, Chino XL and, of course, The Alchemist. Essentially, this could make for one of 2012’s more compelling hip hop efforts. Check out the tracklist below, and look out for Ohnomite on June 5th.
