Last night at Camp Nou stadium in Barcelona, Spain, U2 began rehearsing for their U2360 World Tour. Those of you who are fans of No Line on the Horizon, be excited as there were 7 songs played from that record. The hits were there, in the form of “Where the Streets Have No Name”, “Vertigo”, and “Beautiful Day”, but shockingly, “One”, “Sunday Bloody Sunday”, and “Bullet the Blue Sky” were absent. I’d expect them to be back by tour time though.
And for the diehards like me and a few others of us, “The Unforgettable Fire” (first time since 1990), “Drowning Man” (first time ever), and “Ultraviolet (Light My Way)” (first time since 1993) were performed. Strangely absent were songs from the band’s first 3 albums, as well as all of their 1990s albums with the exception of “Ultraviolet”. Hopefully more from those will appear, as well as “Bad”.
The first show is in Barcelona at Camp Nou on June 30th. Setlist and breakdown by album via U2 Gigs after the jump.
