
U2 have announced European and North American dates for their 2009 world tour in support of their new album, No Line on the Horizon. The tour, entitled “U2360″ because of its innovative 360-degree setup, will kick off in Barcelona on July 30th and run through August 22nd in . Following a short break, U2 will embark on their first tour of American stadiums since 1997′s PopMart tour. The US portion of the tour will begin on September 12th at Soldier Field in Chicago and wrap up October 28th at Vancouver’s B.C. Place. Opening acts for the European shows will include Snow Patrol, Kaiser Chiefs, Elbow, and Glasvegas, while warmup duties in North America will be handled by Snow Patrol and Black Eyed Peas.
