This year The Cure headlined the UK’s Bestival – a festival that seems to be growing steadily in popularity and renown from year to year. The band have announced that they will be releasing the recording of their performance as a 2CD set next month.
The release seems sort of rushed, and that cover art (above) looks sort of fan-made, but this seems like a quick release mostly done because the proceeds from sales will go towards the Isle of Wight Youth Trust. (Bestival is held on the Isle of Wight.)
The Cure performed for two and a half hours and ran through a ton of greatest hits. The album comes out digitally and on CD through Sunday Best Recordings on December 5th. You can check out the track list below, which has not been curtailed at all like live albums often are, which is good.
