It’s no secret that Mos Def is a bit of a DOOM fan. Today another video of Mos Def reciting Madvillain lyrics appeared on the Stones Throw homepage.
Big deal, right? It sort of is once you realize that the second voice in the video is DOOM himself. Maybe I’m jumping to conclusions, but it seems to me that Stones Throw is alluding to a Mos Def cameo on the upcoming, highly anticipated sequel to 2004′s Madvillainy.
In related news, Madvillain will be playing the We The People Festival in Los Angeles on November 21. I have a feeling we’ll be hearing more about “MV2″ sooner rather than later.
