According to Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, the band is set to be on a long hiatus. In an interview with Musicradar.com, Smith said to expect the band to be on hiatus for another year, maybe even longer. After putting out the 28 track behemoth that was Stadium Arcadium, it comes as to no surprise the band is worn out. While this hiatus has been rumored for a year or so, this confirms the band is on a break, possibly a long one. On the flip side, maybe we will get more albums from John Frusciante, he is making betters albums these days anyways.
