Just last month Doom, Hip Hop most lyrically complex masked villain, performed for the first time in London. And now, only a few months after his first ever overseas gig, he is now set to embark on a full length European tour. These dates are announced amid speculation and a bit of outrage that he was not showing up to his recent U.S. dates with Mos Def and rather sending a masked lip-syncing impostor in his place. Check a video of what appears to be a DOOM impostor performing with Mos Def at a recent date in Chicago.
More dates are set to be announced soon, and look for some soon on this side of the pond.
While your at it, check out “Papermill” the first new Madvillian track in quite sometime. The track was released last month as part of a group of singles released by Adult Swim. Other tracks dropped by Adult Swim include efforts by The Black Lips, Washed Out and Matt Sweeny with Bonnie “Prince” Billy, with more on the way in the coming weeks.
