In case you haven’t already heard, there’s a Magnetic Fields documentary on the way. The official trailer has been revealed (Stereogum), so check it out below. If you’re a die-hard Magnetic Fields fan, chances are you’ve been waiting a long time to see this, considering the documentary has been ten years in the making.
The commentary comes from a surprising all-star cast, including Peter Gabriel (who covered the Magnetic Fields song “The Book of Love” on his new Scratch My Back covers album), Sarah Silverman, Carrie Brownstein, Neil Gaiman (If you’ve been reading Neil’s blog anytime in the past ten years, you’ll know the Coraline / American Gods author is a huge Magnetic Fields fan).
The film will make its world premiere at the SXSW festival. Be sure to check the Strange Powers official website for more info regarding the documentary.
