
Let’s be real: Raekwon’s Only Built 4 Cuban Linx…Pt II was probably one of the greatest hip-hop albums of 2009, if not the best. That being said, it’s no surprise that Jimmy Fallon introduced him as one of the most acclaimed artists in hip-hop, and Raekwon returned the praise by giving a host shout-out. (“Jimmy, what up baby?”)
Raekwon took the stage on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to perform the cut “Catalina” from the aforementioned album. The Roots served quite nicely as Rae’s backing band, and Black Thought (though not normally a singer) substituted for Lyfe Jennings on the verses. Check out the performance here.
