The iTunes Sessions albums are really turning into a treat. Releases from Vampire Weekend, The Hold Steady, and Deerhunter have all excelled above the typical live EP fair into something truly memorable. So, with The Decemberists’ offering due out today, let’s just say that expectations are high.
On The Decemberists’ iTunes Session are two covers, which you can hear below. The first is a take on Leonard Cohen’s “Hey, That’s No Way to Say Goodbye” and the second is a version of Fruit Bats’ “When U Love Somebody.” Both are quite lovely. Enjoy.
