So often in dance music a rare white-label or random mixtape becomes all the rage among collectors and fans. Although essentially everything is made available digitally, these physical items are an important commodity to a genre that still relies heavily upon physical media for performances and collections. And so is the case with Soul Clap’s EFUNK mixtape, as only 200 of these were printed and most were given to random patrons at a party the group hosted, a few eventually making their way to Phonica’s online store before quickly being snatched up. The 45 track tape features both new tracks from the Boston duo along with some of the best in soul, funk and nonsense. FACT recently made the tape available as a free download to give fans a chance to finally get at the rare item, so go ahead and run over to their Soundcloud page and grab EFUNK for free.
